Robert Hill Band with Kanoa Sims

Robert Hill, a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas, was inducted into the NY Blues Hall of Fame in 2014. He’s an award-winning artist, not only for his slide guitar work, but also for his songwriting. His latest release, “Revelation,” made the 2023 Grammy ballot for Best Traditional Blues album. His music has been used extensively in TV and film, and he has performed at some of the biggest blues festivals inn the U.S., including the King Biscuit Blues Festival. He has shared the stage with Levon Helm, John McEuen, Kim Simmonds, Rick Danko, and numerous others.

On lead vocals is Kanoa Sims, a native off Birmingham, Alabama. Kanoa is multi-talented singer, actor, and artist, having performed on Broadway, and national and international stages and screens, including TV shows Blue Bloods, Law & Order, & Love Life.

Rounding out the rhythm section are veterans, Steve Gelfand on bass, John Samorian on keys, and Warren Odze on drums. All have toured and recorded with some of the biggest names in music including, Hall & Oates, Rod Stewart, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Art Garfunkle, Judy Collins, Richie Havens…the list goes on and on. They have also all performed in countless Broadway productions.

The band adds their own unique interpretations to traditional blues classics, as well as performing many of their own compositions. With searing slide guitar, exceptional vocals, and a rhythm section of seasoned veterans, they are known for jaw-dropping, entertaining performances.

The Traveling Riverside Blues Band

Founded in 2016 by writing partners Johnny Youngblood and NYS Blues Hall of Fame inductee Paul Toscano, The Traveling Riverside Blues Band deliver Blues, Boogie, and Funk sure to electrify and excite any audience. They perform their throwback tinged original material along with a variety of classic Blues standards peppered in. With their fine musicianship and mastery of the Blues on full display, the group will have listeners tappin’ their toes and dancin’ the night away!
