BEACON SONGSMITHS (Rick Aparicio, Carla Springer and Susan Wright) are three friends who love harmony singing, talking and laughing, music and Beacon. Rick (guitarist, bassist, singer and master of chaos) has performed in bands up and down the East Coast since 1975. Carla is a folk and blues singer-songwriter whose passionate, original songs about love, life and nature are told through a powerful voice often described as a mix between Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin. Susan is a music teacher and sound engineer, accordion and piano player, and singer. She is grateful for having had the chance to engineer a gold hiphop record and sing folk songs with Pete Seeger.

NOGA is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter, composer, and music director. Born and raised in Beacon, NY into a family of musicians, they comes from a multicultural background and draws inspiration from a wide range of musical genres. NOGA is also an accomplished recording artist, releasing her debut solo EP, “Lady Sun””in July 2023, and more recently, a collection of live recorded songs and videos titled “NOGA live at the Howland Cultural Center”. They were named a 2024 OneBeat Fellow and took part in a month-long collaborative intensive residency and tour in the spring of 2024 alongside 24 musicians from all over the world. Beyond their solo career, they have contributed to various projects, including a collaborative album with their family titled “The Cabo Project”, playing bass in folk musician Lila Blue’s band, performing in Blue’s musical SEE/UNSEE at the Lake Lucille Chekhov Project (guitar & M.D.), and Jo Lampert & The Butches of The Ancient World’s Constant Craving at Joe’s Pub (bass & background vocals). They have recently debuted as a sub-guitarist for Hadestown on Broadway.

For the first time, NOGA will be joined by LILA BLUE to perform songs from their newfound duo project “there, there.” Lila Blue (all pronouns) is a 24-year old non-binary/queer folk musician, singer-songwriter and playwright based out of New York. They have been performing and composing professionally since early childhood in communally devised theater with the likes of Bread and Puppet Theater and the Lake Lucille Chekhov Project. Their projects navigate themes of grief, joy, intergenerational trauma, rage, queerness and collisions with divine and haunted spirits, stemming from their own intuitive practices (which include writing in their sleep). They have composed music for film and television, most notably for MTV and Lifetime. They released their fourth LP, “Sweet Pea,” in November 2023 on MOXE.
