Award-winning songwriter Michele Gedney celebrates the release of “Map Of The World,” her first solo album following more than two decades as one half of the acclaimed folk duo Open Book.
Written in the years following the loss of her husband and musical partner, Rick Gedney, “Map Of The World” traces a deeply personal journey through grief, memory, resilience, and renewal. This collection of songs reflects both loss and healing, exploring how we find our way forward when the landmarks of our lives have changed.
For this special release concert, Michele will be joined by the musicians who performed on the recording: producer and guitarist Billy Masters, keyboardist Daniel Weiss, drummer Marco Giovino, and bassist Michael Visceglia. Together they will bring the album to life on stage.
Known for her evocative songwriting, rich vocals, and ability to connect deeply with audiences, Michele creates songs that are intimate yet universal. “Map Of The World” continues that tradition, offering listeners a moving exploration of love, loss, hope, and the enduring power of music to help us make sense of our lives.
Join Michele and her band for an evening of heartfelt songs, stories, and celebration as she marks the release of this new chapter.
