Join us for dinner and you may discover one of your new favorite artists. As always, we prioritize seating for guests who are joining us for dinner. We also provide a great Tap Room for enjoying a cocktail or beer while listening to the live music on our Salon Stage.
Michael Gold, Larry Ham & Tom Melito are world-class jazz vets native to the Hudson Valley.
Bassist Michael Gold has performed with such artists as: Larry Coryell, Warne Marsh, Lee Konitz, Hank Jones, Sheila Jordan, Tal Farlow, Valery Ponomorav, Arturo O’Farrill, Lew Soloff, Michael Kanan, Art Baron, Bill McHenry, Larry Ham, Dave Glasser, and many others. His mentors included with Miroslav Vitous, Dave Holland, and Chuck Israels, Jimmy Guiffre, and Sal Mosca. He holds a PhD in Jazz Performance from New York University. Michael is the founder of Jazz Impact where uses jazz improvisation to develop leadership and organizational capabilities. His jazz programs explore new approaches to the rapidly changing dynamics of leadership, teams, and the innovation process.
Pianist Larry Ham began his professional career in the Lionel Hampton Orchestra in the late ’80’s. He was pianist in the Illinois Jacquet Big Band 1990-95 and has worked extensively with countless other jazz legends, including the late Junior Cook and Dakota Staton. He has appeared at jazz festivals, concerts and nightclubs throughout the United States, Europe, West Africa, and Japan. His New York appearances include Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, Carnegie Hall, Iridium, The Village Vanguard, Birdland, Small’s, Mezzrow, and Harlem’s historic Lenox Lounge. David Dupont of Cadence Jazz Magazine writes, “He glides over the keys with each note articulated cleanly…his playing is masterful.” And Mike Neely in All About Jazz calls him “…a pianist well on his way to becoming a master.”
Drummer Tom Melito has been a mainstay on the jazz scene for many years. He has worked with Bucky Pizzarelli, Frank Wess, Harry Allen, “Sweets” Edison, Lew Soloff, Herb Ellis, Warren Vache, John Bunch, and Bill Watrous, the late Etta Jones and Kenny Rankin. Tom has toured numerous times in Japan, Europe, and South America. He has performed at most of the world’s largest jazz events including the JVC, Montreal, and Berne Jazz Festivals.
