Eliza Neals; also Jason Damico & The New Blue

August 4, 2024
7:00 pm

Eliza Neals is a highly talented blues-rock singer who has earned recognition for her soulful vocals and captivating performances. SiriusXM has embraced Eliza Neals songwriting, arrangements and production with sixteen songs in heavy rotation since 2015 to 35+ million subscribers. Eliza plays piano plus organ often accompanying her amazing band across stages and large music festivals worldwide. “The Top 75 modern Blues and Blues-rock artists you must hear” Rock Blues Muse 2021

Neals has brought a fresh and contemporary energy to the blues genre, infusing it with elements of rock, soul and a hard hitting Detroit sound. Considered by many to be “the last Motown trained singer” by the late songwriting legend Barrett Strong Jr., along with her opera degree from Wayne State University, let the Blues choose her. Her dynamic stage presence and powerful voice have contributed to revitalizing traditional blues music, attracting a wider younger audience and garnering attention from listeners who may not typically gravitate towards the genre.

Eliza Neals has embraced new production techniques and experimented with different musical styles, adding a modern edge to her music. She has collaborated with renowned producers and musicians (Joe Louis Walker, King Soloman Hicks, Popa Chubby, Lance Lopez, etc.), successfully bridging the gap between the traditional blues sound and contemporary musical influences on her recordings. Original compositions have garnered Eliza a 2018 Detroit Black Music Award for “Blues Artist of the Year.” and five Detroit Music Awards. A total of 20 nominations in the “Independent Blues Awards” along with “Get Ready To Rock UK’s” glowing Best Artists awards in five categories.

High octane, blues rock, recording artist/actor, multi-instrumentalist, producer, Jason Damico is an emerging and driving force in the entertainment industry.

Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina this “rocking young turk” has already racked up many awards: Carolina Music Awards Rock Male Artist of the Year and Youth Artist of the Year; 12x GRAMMY® Considered; Triangle Blues Society Solo Blues Challenge Winner competing in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis; and more.

Damico’s “amalgamation” writing style, high energy, deep, powerful, baritone vocals in the vein of Jim Morrison (The Doors), Peter Steele (Type O Negative), and Johnny Cash, blended with blistering guitar riffs in the styles of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Zakk Wylde, and Jimi Hendrix, results in an undeniably, soulful swagger of a satisfyingly “new blue” sound.

Recent collaborations with GRAMMY® Nominated guitarist and artist Eric Gales on “Delusional” & “Reveal Me” have gained attention from the Recording Academy, garnering multiple GRAMMY® Considerations throughout 2021 & 2022.

Damico has performed/opened for B.B. King, Joe Louis Walker, Slam Allen, Mr. Sipp, Tony Holiday, Buddy Guy, and more.
