Singer/songwriter/fiddler Sara Milonovich and her band Daisycutter deliver a heady harvest of original alt-Americana and roots rock. Their latest album, “Northeast,” is packed with atmospheric, powerful songs – most written by Milonovich – that paint poignant, personal scenes, and melodies that linger long after the last listen. As an interpreter Sara is a singular force as well, weaving her own experiences and artistic voice through the threads of well-chosen, lived-in interpretations of songs by the likes of Josh Ritter, Karine Polwart, Joe Strummer, and even Led Zeppelin.
Sara and the band were recently named 2022 Americana Artist of the Year at the Capital District Thomas Edison Music Awards. She has also been a seasoned side musician to such artists as Richard Shindell, Pete Seeger, Eliza Gilkyson, and Jim Gaudet & The Railroad Boys, among others, and was a featured player in the recent smash Broadway musical Come From Away.
Hudson Valley singer/songwriter Jeff Wilkinson has released six albums on various labels including Brambus and Gadfly Records. His latest release “Hill No Passing” features his band the Shutterdogs, with guest appearances by Jeremy Baum (Shemekia Copeland), Ritchie Stearns (the Horseflies), and Neil Alexander, among others.
Jeff has made numerous tours throughout the U.S. and Europe and has shared the stage with many of folk music’s best-known names, including Jesse Winchester, Chris Smither, NRBQ, Gillian Welch, and Robert Earl Keene. He has played in such noted rooms as Nashville’s Bluebird Café and New York’s Bottom Line, and has co-written songs with such notables as Fred Koller and Leroy Preston.
“Earthy, folky, sensitive and rootsy music… Jeff Wilkinson is an excellent songwriter, with a talent for being able to pen thoughtful and provocative lyrics. Most importantly, Wilkinson’s music puts pictures in your head.”
