Nominated “County Act of the Year” by the New England Music Awards, the North County Band is a 6-piece Country / Americana act formed in Southern Connecticut in 2020. Featuring Texas-born fiddle phenom Cat Lines, the band pays careful attention to rhythms, instrumentation, harmonies, and storytelling that make this live show one you won’t want to miss. The band has performed at the Levitt Pavilion, Park City Music Hall, the Ocean Mist, the Charlestown Seafood Festival, the East Benton Fiddle Festival, to a sold-out crowd at Daryl’s House, and has played over 200 shows throughout 9 Northeastern states.
Their debut EP “Connecticut” caught the attention of the state’s Governor, and their much anticipated full-length album “Lay it On the Line” is set for release in the Spring of 2024. The band’s songwriters, Scott Smith and Cat Lines, explore themes of addiction, love, loss, friendship, heartache, and humor set against the backdrop of the American landscape.
Other members include Vinny Zupo – guitar, Jona Ziac – pedal steel/mandolin, Bradley Clark – Bass, and David Rauh – Drums/Vocals.
