Jonah Smith Band; also Carillo / Seville

Jonah Smith is a critically acclaimed American singer-songwriter. His song, “When We Say Goodnight,” was recorded by Bonnie Raitt on her recent Grammy winning album, “Just Like That.” Smith (keys, guitar, vocals) will perform at the Towne Crier with band members Andy Stack (guitars, vocals), Manuel Quintana (drums) and Brandon Morrison (bass).

Smith’s music ranges over his twenty-year career from soul to folk and Americana and he moves effortlessly on stage between keyboards and guitar. His vocals bring to mind Steve Winwood and even Ray Charles but his songs are crafted stories with lineage traced back to his love of Bob Dylan and Paul Simon.

Smith’s songs are in rotation on radio stations around the country. He has had songs featured on NBC, ABC, FX, and the USA network including Good Morning America and America’s Got Talent where he was a semi-finalist on Season 9.

Carillo / Seville:
Frank Carillo is the epitome of a “musician’s musician,” and throughout his colorful career, his craftsmanship as a gifted world-class guitar player, memorable prolific songwriting and his warm, affable persona have allowed him to make an indelible mark on the international music scene, touring extensively with such acts as the J. Geils Band, Cheap Trick, Van Halen and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

When the second Carillo album, “Street of Dreams,” was released on Atlantic Records, Frank embarked on a 64-show US tour opening for Bad Company and playing to sold-out audiences in major areas across America. In 2005, Frank formed a new band called Frank Carillo & The Bandoleros, and the band’s debut CD, “Bad Out There,” was released in the US and Europe with top 10 airplay on XM Satellite Radio. XM also aired a live recording of the band, and singles were playlisted on over 250 AAA, Americana and Roots radio stations.

Eddie Seville is an American songwriter & multi-instrumentalist best known as the creative force behind the alt-country rock band, Steel Rodeo. Drawing from folk, roots and country blues, he’s written songs released on Island / Atlantic and Universal Records as well as music aired on each of the top three US television networks.

His songs are covered by local musicians, regional bands and international artists, his single, “One More Guitar,” was the centerpiece of an ad campaign by the Netherlands based Homestead Guitar Company. His work spans projects with producer Paul Orofino, Danny Miranda (Queen + Paul Rodgers), Simon Kirke (Free / Bad Company), Matt Cartsonis (Warren Zevon) and Augie Meyers (Texas Tornados / Bob Dylan), in addition to numerous credits on a wide range of recordings that include film, television, indie and major label releases.

Carillo / Seville: Most recently, Frank and Eddie began recording & touring as a duo, logging many miles in both the US and Europe while playing a mix of each other’s songs as well as co-writes, which offers an intimate performance filled with great songs and great stories by these two raconteurs.
