FunkSway is an old/new school band formed in Newburgh, N.Y., in 2021. All local musicians from the Hudson Valley, many of the members have been performing for most of their lives and also have been involved with a variety of other groups over the years. That exposure and experience has brought them to become one.
Their specialty is funky soul, and those classic love ballads, the stuff you can’t get any longer. They mix it up and touch on the different decades of the magnificent greatness from the Eighties and Nineties to the present. The band says, “We have been so blessed to live during the times when some of the all time musical legends lived and enlightened us with their brilliance.”
The band’s ultimate goal is to inspire people positively through their music, locally and across the country.
