DESCRIPTION:\n\nHayde Bluegrass Orchestra is a seven-piece acoustic band fr
 om Oslo\, Norway\, that has captured hearts in both Norway and the US with
  its unique blend of bluegrass and Nordic folk – a style often dubbed 
 “Nordicana.” Featuring fiddle\, dobro\, banjo\, mandolin\, guitar\, an
 d even an accordion alongside four-part vocal harmonies\, the group delive
 rs a fresh take on American roots music wrapped in a finely tuned folk sou
 nd. Fronted by Rebekka Nilsson – winner of the 2022 IBMA Momentum “Voc
 alist of the Year” award – Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra combines original
  songs\, classic tunes\, and timeless covers into an energetic and soulful
  repertoire.\n\nHayde defy any notion that bluegrass needs to be confined 
 to Appalachia or any other corner of the American heartland. With and an i
 nstrumental acumen that defines them as musicians with a determined drive 
 and dynamic\, the band — Rebekka Nilsson (vocals)\, Ole Enggrav (guitar)
 \, Moa Meinich (fiddle)\, Charles Butler (banjo)\, Emil Brattested (dobro\
 , mandolin)\, Sjur Marqvardsen (accordion)\, and David Buverud (upright ba
 ss) — have helped reinvent the idea of roots music in a new and imaginat
 ive way.\n\nThey were nominated for Band of the Year honors during the 202
 2 IBMA Momentum Award honors\, and then capped that accomplishment by winn
 ing the Vocalist of the Year award.\n\nOne of the first songs they ever re
 corded was a take on the classic folk song “Wayfaring Stranger\,” whic
