SUMMARY:Family Game Night featuring Matt The Electrician\, Erin McKeown\, N
 atalia Zukerman\, and Stephen Clair
DESCRIPTION:Family Game Night is a unique live show featuring Matt the Elec
trician and a rotating cast of songwriters from his long-running weekly so
ng game. Set up in the round\, these old friends will be swapping stories
and sharing songs born from the same playful prompts with radically differ
ent results. Expect a mix of heartfelt ballads\, silly snippets\, clever w
ordplay\, and unexpected musical twists. With plenty of laughter\, camarad
erie\, and the occasional audience participation\, Family Game Night celeb
rates the joy of songwriting and the magic of spontaneous creativity.\n\nM
att the Electrician is Matthew Sever\, a quirky\, sincere folk/pop singer
 songwriter based in Austin\, TX. He has self-released 11 studio albums\, a
nd 2 live CDs since 1998. His most recent release\, “The Ocean Knocked M
e Down\,” came out in 2024. For the new project\, Matt returned to his
“home studio” of sorts\, The Aerie\, in Austin\, TX (owned and operate
d by Mark Addison)\, where Matt had recorded 4 of his previous records. To
call this a pandemic record might be slightly misguided\, even though mos
t of the songs were in fact written during 2020 and 2021. But the vibe of
the record is upbeat\, and weird\, and fun\, and sometimes sad\, but hopef
 ul\, and occasionally poignant\, and silly\, and hopeful\, but ridiculous\
, and also hopeful. You might think that’s a lot of vibes\, but there ar
e 16 songs on the record\, because we’ve all been through a lot\, and so
Matt figured that\, this time\, everyone deserved a few more songs and a
few more vibes than usual.\n\nJoining Matt tonight are:\n\nErin McKeown\n\
nErin McKeown is a musician\, writer\, and producer known internationally
for their prolific disregard of stylistic boundaries. Their brash and clev
er electric guitar playing is something to see. Their singing voice is tru
ly unique —clear\, cool\, and collected. Over the last 20 years\, they h
ave performed around the world\, released 11 full length albums\, and writ
ten for film\, television\, and theater\, all the while refining their dis
tinctive and challenging mix of American musical forms.\n\nErin’s first
musical\, “Miss You Like Hell\,” written with Pulitzer Prize-winning p
laywright Quiara Alegría Hudes\, opened Off-Broadway at The Public Theate
r in 2018. It was nominated for 5 Drama Desk Awards\, including Best Lyric
s\, Best Music and Best Orchestrations\, and The Wall Street Journal named
it Best Musical of 2018.\n\nLeading their own band\, Erin has performed a
t Bonnaroo\, Glastonbury\, and the Newport Folk Festivals. A familiar pres
ence on NPR and the BBC\, McKeown’s songs have also appeared in numerous
commercials and television shows.\n\nErin’s latest albu\, “Kiss Off K
iss\,” is out now. Their latest musical\, “Out Here\,” will have its
world-premiere production at Court Theatre\, Chicago in 2026.\n\nNatalia
 Zukerman\n\nNatalia Zukerman is a queer Jewish musician\, painter\, journa
 list\, educator\, cartoonist\, trauma-informed yoga and meditation teacher
\, cultural diplomat\, and community organizer. She has recorded 8 albums
on her own and Willy Porter’s Weasel Records labels\, toured with and/or
opened for Janis Ian\, Ani DiFranco\, Susan Werner\, Melissa Ferrick\, Gl
en Phillips\, Richard Thompson\, Shawn Colvin and Dar Williams to name a f
ew. She is the weekly cartoonist as well as the arts and lifestyle editor
at The Millerton News and Lakeville Journal\, a contributing writer for Ac
 oustic Guitar Magazine\, a part-time caregiver for her mom\, and a full-ti
 me mom to her dog\, Georgie.\n\nStephen Clair\n\nA 2024 Relix Magazine “
artist to watch\,” Stephen Clair first came to prominence when the late
Rita Houston (WFUV) added “Jen In Her Underwear” to regular rotation\,
putting Clair not only on the map\, but the road. He makes honesty sound
catchy. An instinctive and open-hearted writer who doesn’t stop touring\
, releasing albums\, or winning fans. Performing Songwriter says he’s
“the kind of citified troubadour the roots songwriting world needs.”\n
