SUMMARY:Adam Ezra Group\; special guest SIRSY
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Adam Ezra Group:\n– Adam takes a month out of each
year to visit the living rooms of his fans around the country…\n– His
band and nonprofit organization RallySound host a free festival every sum
mer that raised $143\,000 for homeless veterans in 2023…\n– He live-st
reamed for 500 nights in a row during the pandemic…\n– They co-produce
d an album with 163 fans…\n\nIf you haven’t connected with Adam Ezra G
roup yet\, these are just a few examples to help you understand how this u
nderground\, Americana songwriter and his bandmates seem to have popped ou
t of nowhere\, establishing a connection with their fans unlike any other\
, and are suddenly selling out theaters throughout the Northeast.\n\nAdam
Ezra will joke with you that while the “nowhere” part might be accurat
e\, nothing has ever just “popped” for this folk musician\, activist.
Without resources\, connections\, or any kind of clue how the music world
works\, Ezra began playing shows over 20 years ago. When music venues woul
 dn’t hire him\, he played bars\, bookstores\, fields\, and parking lots\
, often raising money for causes he cared about\; a practice that grew int
o his nonprofit organization RallySound.\n\n“We’d play 5 hours a night
\,” Adam reminisces\, “more often than not\, in danger of outnumbering
the audiences we were playing for…”\n\nSo how did this band operating
so far outside the traditional music world come to win New England Music
Award’s “Americana Act of the Year” in 2023? What could have happene
d to inspire John Oates to call Adam and invite him to begin a songwriting
friendship that would lead to John producing their upcoming release and c
o-write\, “Hold Each Other Now”? What happened to catch the attention
of The Wallflowers\, who recently invited AEG to join them on their spring
tour\, or SPIN Magazine who recently proclaimed\, “This Independent Und
erground Folk Band Is Blowing Up Without Selling Out”? If you ask Adam\,
he’ll tell you:\n\n“One person at a time\, over many years and thousa
nds of shows\, decided to turn their heads to listen. One person at a time
decided to share our music with folks they care about. That’s always be
en our story. It’s no fairy tale\, but it sure makes me proud and humble
d when I look out from the stage to watch theaters full of people singing
along to our music.”\n\nThese days you’ll find Adam and his bandmates\
, Corinna Smith (Fiddle)\, Poche Ponce (Bass)\, and Alex Martin (Percussio
n)\, constantly out on the road. If you look at their tour schedule now\,
you can buy tickets to see them at festivals\, rock venues\, and theaters
around the country\, but you will also see their tour continuously peppere
d with activism and grassroots events\; a testament to an artist who will
never forget where he came from\, and whose mission is about much more tha
n music.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSIRSY is a rock and soul duo with lots of pop sensi
bility and just the right amount of sass. The Boston Globe sums it up\,
“Little band. Big Sound.” Although the only thing “little” about S
irsy is that there’s just two of them. The rest is bigger than a T-Rex.
Close your eyes and listen to the power and heart in their music and you
’ll swear there’s more than two people on stage. It’s crank up the v
olume\, sing along at the top of your lungs music — even when the ballad
s kick in. Plus\, “Their clever\, smart songs have more hooks than a tac
klebox.” (Times Union).\n\nSIRSY is fronted by powerhouse vocalist Melan
 ie (Mel) Krahmer\, who is described as “one of the most powerful &amp\;
flexible voices you’ll ever hear.” (Times Union). She also plays a ful
l drum kit while standing up\, NS even throws in an occasional flute solo\
, too. Guitarist Rich Libutti plays a well-loved and road-worn Rickenbacke
r through a pedal board full of vintage effects. “The guitar player is f
lawless and raw. Clean enough to be enjoyed\, and just edgy enough to make
you grin.” (SXSW Music Blog\, Austin TX). Live\, Rich also plays bass o
 n a keyboard with his feet.\n\nTickets $35 advance / $40 door\n\n&nbsp\;\n
